Altona house for sale for $1

A house in Altona is being advertised for sale for the bargain price of $1.

However, there’s a catch.

The house, at 67 Blyth Street, is being advertised on Gumtree to be removed.

Its seller says that it would make an ideal getaway.

“House in good condition, would make a great holiday house on your farm or to live in,” the advertisement states.

“Vinyl cladding on the outside, aluminum windows and tin roof all in good condition.”

The house, which has three bedrooms and one bathroom, will be available for removal in two months.

The property last sold at auction in 2011 for $677,000.

The house is one of four being advertised for sale and removal on Gumtree, with prices for those in three other suburbs ranging from $5000-$50,000.
