Footscray leaves it late to secure four points

Footscray trailed at every change against Richmond in the VFL at the Whitten Oval on Saturday, but the Bulldogs came home strongly with five goals to two in the last quarter to win by nine points.

Lauchlan Dalgleish kicked three goals for the Bulldogs, while Mitch Honeychurch, Bailey Dale, Kieran Collins and Josh Dunkley put their hands up for a recall to the Western Bulldogs.

Footscray has won three of its past four games to consolidate sixth spot on the VFL ladder, but its biggest test will come on Sunday when it hosts Casey Scorpions in an 11.40am game at the Whitten Oval.
