Volunteers for elderly

The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme is seeking female volunteers to visit elderly female residents in an aged care facility in Newport.

Gateway Community Services in South Kingsville is seeking volunteer drivers, experienced in minibuses or refrigerated small vans, to drop off food donations to community agencies. No special licence required.

Publisher Aly’s Books is offering a free self-publishing course to any published or unpublished authors at Maribyrnong library, 6pm Wednesday, July 27.

 

U3A meeting

The annual general meeting of U3A Altona will be held at 1pm on Friday at the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre. The guest speaker will be Geoff Mitchelmore, 2015 Senior Citizen of the Year. Light refreshments, visitors welcome.
