Edible gardens

Council elections

Nominations to stand as a candidate for the 2016 council elections open on Thursday, September 15, and close noon Tuesday, September 20. Candidate information sessions for will be held from 7pm Monday, September 12 at the Maribyrnong council offices and the civic centre, 115 Civic Parade, Altona.

Rescue fundraiser

Forever Friends Animal Rescue is hosting a film fundraiser featuring The Secret Life of Pets at Yarraville’s Sun Theatre from 6.15pm on Sunday, September 11.

Enabling women

A leadership program for women with disabilities is being run by Maribyrnong council and Women with Disabilities Victoria. An information session will be held from 1-2.30pm on Wednesday, September 14 at Footscray town hall.
