Jazz out west
An eclectic line-up of jazz outfits descend on the west this week for Jazz Out West. Lazercatz 2000, The Lalibelas and Movement 9 will perform, while other events include Jazz-a-Bye Baby at the FCAC and a Soundwalk through the streets, arcades and secret spaces of Footscray.
Birthday bash
Altona library will celebrate its 50th birthday from 10am-1pm on June 6. There’ll be multicultural performances and games, music, craft, face-painting and cake-cutting. Library and Information Week will be celebrated until Sunday with a range of free activities at local branches.
