Ghosts, zombies, witches and ghouls to take over Williamstown Town Hall

Ghosts, zombies, witches and ghouls will take over Williamstown Town Hall on October 31 for two spooky Halloween dance parties.

The haunted events have been organised by Williamstown resident Pauline Alabakis to raise money for disability service provider Yooralla.

Ms Alabakis hopes the dance parties will bring the spirit of Halloween to the Hobsons Bay community while also supporting Yooralla’s work.

“Kids are always looking for an occasion to dress up and I think there is a place for Halloween in the community,” she said. “I want to raise the profile of Halloween for families.

“Yooralla is connected to the Williamstown community, so it made sense to support them in the same way they support the community.”

The Halloween celebrations will begin with a dance party for children aged five and under, which will run from noon-2pm. There will be a DJ, face painting, dancing and trick or treating.

A family dance party, aimed at children aged 5-15, will be held from 7-11pm.

Tickets to the parties cost $20 and $29.
