Quilt convention
West Footscray fabric designer Leslie Keating (pictured) will showcase her popular hand-printed wares at the Australasian Quilt Convention this
weekend. A graphic designer by trade, Keating recently took the plunge in setting up a boutique fabric design studio and store, Maze & Vale. Keating’s designs are created as sketches or carved block prints then screen-printed, using hand-mixed colours, on sustainable hemp, organic cotton and linen. The 11th annual Australasian Quilt Convention returns to
the Royal Exhibition Building from April 16 to 19.
