Fire crews are expected to spend most of the day extinguishing a fire at a scrap metal factory in Laverton North.
The fire at 191 Dohertys Road is under control and there is no threat to the community, but Dohertys Road near Fitzgerald Road is closed, so drivers should avoid the area.
Seven trucks are attending the fire.
