Williamstown CYMS grabbed its third win of the VAFA Premier C season at the weekend, proving too strong for Hampton Rovers. Williamstown had twice as many shots on goal in the opening quarter but only managed a wasteful 4.5. Six goals to one in the second quarter set up the lead, and by the end it was a 19.9 (111) to 6.13 (49) victory. Mitch Parkinson and Ben Deller both snared four goals in the win, which has them on the right side of a 3-2 win-loss ledger.
Five Western Jets have been shortlisted for a place in the Vic Metro squad for this years’ national championships.
