Parks Victoria is urging people to take care when bushwalking and hiking in Victoria’s mountain hotspots.
With warmer weather and holidays approaching, Parks Victoria recommends some basic preparation to stay cool, stay safe and have fun.
When planning a trip, Parks Victoria says explorers need to look at their website checklist before they set off hiking.
Recommendations include planning their trip, checking conditions, keeping in
touch with family and friends while
hiking, being fire aware, packing the right
gear and knowing your emergency phone numbers.
Parks Victoria manages more than four million hectares across the state.
