Council invites green cash bids

Hobsons Bay council is urging people to apply for environment grants of up to $2000.

Community groups are being invited to apply for funding for projects that contribute towards environmental sustainability.

The council wants to hear about projects that reduce waste, support climate change adaptation, save drinking water and protect and enhance the natural environment.

One of this year’s recipients, Spotswood Primary School, received a grant for
large-scale tree and scrub planting using native plants.

Applications close on December 15. Details: hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/environmentgrants2018
