Carols come to Yarraville Gardens

A silent night is the last thing on the mind of organisers staging one of the inner-west’s favourite summer rituals.

Yarraville Carols in the Gardens returns this Saturday, celebrating its 24th year with an action-packed schedule of performers.

One of Melbourne’s most popular carols nights, the free event brings together thousands of people for an evening of Christmas fun.

Acclaimed performer Chelsea Plumley and queen of cabaret, Dolly Diamond, will compere the evening. The Footscray-Yarraville City Band, Hyde Street Youth Band and Western Brass will again join forces to provide the music, joined by a mass choir and several opera singers including soprano Margaret Haggart.

Yarraville Carols in the Gardens takes place at Yarraville Gardens from 7-10pm Saturday, December 16, closing with a fireworks display.
