Best-selling children’s author Jacqueline Harvey, known for her Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose series, has been confirmed for next month’s 15th Williamstown Literary Festival.

Festival favourites Andy Griffiths, Leigh Hobbs and Claire Saxby will also be among more than 80 authors at 50 events during the two-day event.

This year’s theme is ‘From little things …’ celebrating the belief that from little things, extraordinary things grow.

Harvey (pictured), who will talk about her best-known series and the first title in her new one, Kensy and Max: Breaking News, said she was thrilled to be heading to Williamstown.

“It’s going to be loads of fun and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone – especially the kids,” she said.

“The children of Williamstown and surrounds are so fortunate to be part of a community where reading and writing are highly valued, and events like this are on offer.”

The Willy Lit Fest is on the weekend of June 16 and 17, with the full festival program launched and early-bird tickets going on sale May 14.
