Ravers robbed at abandoned factory dance party

Police are searching for five offenders who allegedly robbed and assaulted ravers at a Yarraville dance party.

The incident occurred during a rave being held in an abandoned building on the former Bradmill factory site on Fogarty Avenue about 2am Sunday, June 10.

Leading Senior Constable Melissa Seach said five offenders are believed to have assaulted a number of party-goers and stolen wallets, mobile phones, bags and passports.

The offenders are described as male and female, aged in their 20s and wearing dark clothing.

Detectives have released digital images of a man and a woman that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time to come forward.

Anyone who recognises the pair is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report online at www.crimstoppersvic.com.au

The owners of the site have been given until next February to begin the redevelopment of the Yarraville property.
