West’s sons set on a better path

Western suburbs men like Albert Bradding and Alan Perry are being urged to kick a few health goals with the Western Bulldogs.

The club’s Sons of the West program is tackling the tricky situation of poor health of men who live and work in Melbourne’s west.

More than 1000 men passed through the program in 2014, the first year of the club’s initiative.

Men are able to register for Sons of the West by attending one of this weekend’s expos, which feature club stars, health experts and Sons of the West ambassadors.

The Maribyrnong expo will be held at Victoria University Whitten Oval, West Footscray, from 10am to noon on Saturday.

The Hobsons Bay expo will be at the Laverton Community Hub, 95-105 Railway Avenue, Laverton, from 2-4pm on Saturday and Wyndham’s expo is at Wyndham Civic Centre, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee, 10am-noon on Sunday, March 15.
