Agent profile: Dion Clemmens, Greg Hocking Elly Partners

He grew up in Yarraville and Williamstown, attending St Augustine’s, the same school his father David went to, so Dion Clemmens can claim true-local status.

Now a licensed real estate agent with Greg Hocking Elly Partners, Dion has enjoyed an interesting life which has set him up well for the cut and thrust of the property game.

He learnt the art of fair competitiveness as a footy midfielder for Yarraville Seddon Eagles, as well as playing golf in his mid-teens to late-20s at a high level.

A Kooringal Golf Club member for the past 20 years, Dion was the state boys champion at 16 and, by the age of 23, he was twice the club champion at Huntingdale Golf Club. He believes this achievement is indicative of the drive, work ethic and determination needed to succeed in any endeavour, and specifically as a real estate agent.

And it’s not just in the sports arena that Dion has been a high achiever. He started working at Richie’s Pizza in Williamstown at 15 years old and owned it by the time he was 19. Experience as a business owner has given Dion personal insight into how business is done and what’s needed to succeed – attributes that are also highly transferable to the property game.

An alumnus of St Michael’s Grammar School, Dion is a mad-keen Western Bulldogs supporter and very close to his family.

His Kingsville-born father and mum, Heather, ran a transport company from Footscray Market for more than 40 years and, they, along with sister Stephanie, brother Adrian and partner Ashleigh are his biggest supporters and role models for all he sets his mind to.

After many years working in logistics and hospitality, communication and relationship management are among Dion’s strong suits.

He says he enjoys being the interface between buyers and sellers and works hard to deliver a smooth, hassle-free process for both parties. Outgoing and approachable, Dion takes great pride in giving honest and realistic advice to his clients.
