Shops on Show: The festivities begin

The Hobsons Bay Council Shops on Show competition has officially launched, with voting now open for the most popular Hobsons Bay Christmas window display.

Running until 5pm, Monday December 17, 2018, the initiative encourages people to shop locally and support businesses in their community this festive season – and win great prizes in doing so.

To take part in the competition, shops can register with the council and provide a photo of their decorated Christmas window. Shoppers who visit participating businesses

can vote for their favourite display by ‘liking’ it on the Hobsons Bay Council’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and go in the draw to share in over $5000 worth of prizes.

Prizes for winning businesses include Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly print advertising space, Quest Williamstown Apartment accommodation, Altona Fine Foods Christmas gourmet hampers, a Santorini Restaurant dining voucher and a Sunseekers Melbourne stand-up paddle boarding lesson voucher.

Voters can win Williamstown Ferry trips, Altona Gate shopping vouchers, Little Art Big Art voucher and Lantern Ghost Tours double passes.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in the Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly and on Hobsons Bay Council’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
