Man charged over sex attacks in Maribyrnong, Prahran, Yarra River

A man has been arrested over a series of alleged sex attacks, including at a Maribyrnong gaming venue.

Police say the first attack, an indecent assault, was at a gaming venue on Rosamond Road, Maribyrnong, about 3pm on Tuesday.

Police spokeswoman Kelly Yates said the second assault took place at a Prahran home, where a man allegedly indecently exposed himself in front a child under the age of 16.

During the third assault, a woman was allegedly raped while walking along a bike track near the Yarra River in South Yarra, about 8.25am on Wednesday.

Russell Reid, of Lancefield, has been charged with rape, assault with intent to rape, an indecent act in front of a child under the age of 16, and aggravated burglary, said Ms Yates.

Mr Reid was charged at an out-of-sessions court overnight, and is expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday.
