Train changes

Buses will replace trains on parts of the Werribee and Williamstown lines between 8.45pm to the last train from tonight to Wednesday.

Buses will replace trains between North Melbourne, Newport and Williamstown, while maintenance works takes place.

Buses woll also run express between North Melbourne, Footscray and Newport.

Passengers have been advised to allow an extra 30 minutes for travel.

On Thursday, the Werribee line will run on an altered timetable, to support extra services to the Melbourne Cup Carnival from 10am to 7.30pm. Buses will also replace trains on Altona Loop trains to the city, from 4.20pm to 7pm.
In addition, from 11pm to last train on Sunday, November 10, trains on the Werribee and Williamstown lines will run direct to and from Flinders Street Station, not via the City Loop.

From City Loop stations, take a train from Platform 3 and change at Flinders Street Station. To City Loop stations, change at North Melbourne Station to a train from platforms 1 or 3.

From 8.40pm to the last train each night from Monday, November 11 to Wednesday, November 13, buses will replace trains between North Melbourne, Newport and Williamstown, while maintenance works takes place.

Buses will  also run express between North Melbourne, Footscray and Newport.

Bicycles, surfboards and dogs are not allowed on train replacement buses.
