State election: Altona, Williamstown, Footscray candidates

Six candidates have nominated for the safe Labor seat of Altona in the November 29 state election.

The electorate, held by Jill Hennessy since a February 2010 by-election, includes the suburbs of Altona, Altona Meadows, Seabrook, Seaholme, Laverton and Point Cook.

The candidates in ballot order are Brijender Nain (Independent), Jemal Hiabu (Voice for the West), Chris de Bono (Greens), Anthony O’Neill (Australian Christians), Nihal Samara (Liberal) and Jill Hennessy (Labor).

Five candidates have nominated for the safe Labor seat of Williamstown, held by Wade Noonan since a 2007 by-election.

It includes Yarraville, Kingsville, Seddon, Brooklyn, Spotswood, Williamstown, Williamstown North, Yarraville and parts of Altona North.

Candidates in ballot order are Libby Krepp (Voice for the West), Alan Shea (Liberal), Wade Noonan (Labor), Simon Crawford (Greens) and Khalil Wehbe (Independent).

Five candidates have nominated for the safe Labor seat of Footscray, represented by Marsha Thomson since 2006.

The electorate includes Braybrook, Footscray, West Footscray, Maidstone and Maribyrnong. Candidates in ballot order are Rod Swift (Greens), Catherine Cumming (Independent), Kim Vu (Liberal), Marsha Thomson (Labor) and Ken Betts (Voice for the West).
