Creatives in Melbourne’s west are being invited to enter the virtual Woods Street Youth Art Prize.

This year, shortlisted entries will be shared in a virtual exhibition curated by Laverton’s Woods Street Arts Space from October 16-31.

Submissions are being sought responding to the theme of ‘A new power – finding a voice’.

Entries are open to people aged 14-25 who live, work, study in or have a connection to Hobsons Bay, Wyndham, Maribyrnong, Brimbank, Melton, Moonee Valley, Geelong or Melbourne.

Prizes will be awarded in the categories of open ($600), runner-up open ($400), artist encouragement awards for under and over 20 ($200 each), and the Hobsons Bay Artist Award ($400).

Entries close August 24 at 5pm.
