Williamstown got home against Werribee in a thriller in round one win in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association north-west competition.
In what would have been the match up in last season’s grand final before it was cancelled by COVID-19, the Seagulls showed why they remain the team to beat.
Williamstown made 8-178 with contributions throughout the order.
James Cook top scored with 50, while Matt Twentyman made 33 not out.
Mathew Palmer was the only multiple wicket taker for the Tigers with three wickets.
