Western suburbs locations COVID-19 exposure sites

Two sites in Brimbank and one in Maribyrnong have been listed as high risk COVID-19 exposure sites after a hotel quarantine worker tested positive for coronavirus.

An authorised officer from the Holiday Inn at Melbourne Airport tested positive to coronavirus on Sunday. She had previously tested negative on February 4.

Workers at the hotel and others who are considered primary close contacts are being contacted. They are required to immediately isolate, get tested and remain isolated for 14 days.

Three tier one exposure sites, where the positive person visited, have been identified.

They are Dan Murphy’s in Sunshine on February 5 between 5.50pm and 6.30pm and the following day between 6.50 pm and 7.30pm.

The woman also visited Off Ya Tree at Watergardens Shopping Centre on Saturday between 1.17pm and 1.52pm, and Marciano’s Cakes in Mitchell Street, Maidstone on February 5 between 9.45am and 10.25am.

Anyone who visited the sites during these times must isolate immediately, get a COVID-19 test and remain isolated for 14 days.

Testing capacity has been increased in Brimbank.

There are testing sites at the Western Hospital in Sunshine, ACL–St Albans, St Albans Victoria University Campus, 4Cyte Pathology – Sunshine, IPC Health – West Sunshine Community Centre and Mickleham Road in Tullamarine.

For more information on where to get tested, call the 24-hour Coronavirus Hotline at 1800 675 398 or visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au
