Melbourne’s newest food precinct, Grazeland, is opening at Spotswood on March 5.
Located next to Scienceworks, Grazeland will span over 10,000 square metres and will have more than 50 sweet and savoury food vendors, three bars, two stage areas, roving entertainers and live entertainment.
Designed to cater for up to 30,000 people a week, the precinct is set to be chiefly open air but with extensive covered areas.
Initially set to open early last year, Grazeland was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grazeland director John Forman said the unique outdoor dining space was now more fitting than ever, bringing Melburnians a COVIDSafe casual dining precinct.
“Almost two years ago, we hand-picked some of our favourite local establishments to join us at Melbourne’s first permanent festival of food and we are thrilled to finally be able to announce Grazeland’s official opening date,” he said.
“It is more important than ever to be able to offer Melburnians a place to safely gather together and reconnect over food, discover new favourites, and create memories after experiencing such an isolating year.”
Menu items include pizza from 48h, cannoli from Cannoleria by That’s Amore Cheese, Bengali-style curries from The Calcutta Club, freshly-shucked oysters and lobster rolls from Claw and Tail, frozen cheesecake from Stix, family-favourites from Hooked Fish and Chipper, African barbecue from Tasty Suya and authentic gelato from Cielo Gelateria.
Grazeland will be trading Friday nights and weekends.
It kicks off on Friday, March 5 at 5pm, at 20 Booker Street, Spotswood.
Opening hours are Fridays from 5-10pm, Saturdays from 12 -10pm and Sundays from 12-9pm.
