Hobsons Bay’s weekly rubbish bin collection is set to start in November.
In June, a council majority voted to restore the weekly rubbish collection, cut the green bin collection from weekly to fortnightly and trial compostable paper bags for food waste.
The council last year introduced Recycling 2.0.
lt cut the weekly garbage collection to fortnightly and introduced a four-bin system to separate general waste, mixed recyclables, glass, and food and green waste.
A new 14-month calendar for bin collection days will be delivered in October or residents may use the council’s app.
