Friday is Ageism Awareness Day and Maidstone-based Australian Multicultural Community Services is challenging everyone to focus on the person, not their age.
October 1 is designated by the United Nations as International Day for Older Persons.
This year, EveryAGE Counts is also marking the day as Ageism Awareness Day as part of the World Health Organization’s campaign, Ageism through the ages.
