Buses will replace trains on the Werribee Line between Footscray and Laverton, due to an equipment fault in Newport.
Trains will continue to operate between Flinders Street and Footscray, and between Laverton and Werribee.
Buses on routes 411 and 232 will offer an alternate route between the CBD and Laverton.
Authorised Officers will be assisting passengers transferring between buses and trains at Footscray and Laverton stations.
Services will resume when repairs are complete.
