Maribyrnong Council announces new initiative to help small businesses

Maribyrnong Council has launched a new initiative to help boost small businesses.

The Business Elevate Program allows for small businesses in the municipality to apply for a $2,000 voucher to buy goods and services from other local businesses.

The funding has been allocated to a list of preferred suppliers, which were identified through an Expression of Interest, process who will offer services to other traders valued at $2,000 across a range of categories such as: accounting and bookkeeping, business coaching, business consulting and copywriting and public relations.

Business owners within Maribyrnong can apply for one of the vouchers from 9am, Wednesday December 1 2021 to 5pm, Friday January 14 2022.

Vouchers will be allocated to those who meet relevant the selection criteria on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis.

Mayor, Cr Anthony Tran said “The program is a great new initiative Council hopes will help small businesses connect and increase trade to prosper and thrive. If you own a small business locally and it is registered in the City of Maribyrnong, I encourage you to apply.”
