Maribyrnong Council will not hold New Years Eve fireworks this year.
The Council says this is in the interest of community health and that their priority at the moment is priority increasing vaccination rates in the City.
Instead, council will provide smaller community events and support local groups who are also providing events for double vaxxed residents.
