Maribyrnong Council has issued a reminder on their Facebook page to ensure water safety around children this summer.
The council has reminded residents of four key actions to keep children safe around water, supervise, restrict, teach and respond.
Parents should actively supervise children around water, restrict children’s access to water, teach children water safety skills and learn how to respond in the case of an emergency.
