Yarraville Club have three players making their first XI debut this Saturday, including a 13-year-old.

A Caroline Springs junior, Jackson Martin only turned 13 in December, and could be one of the youngest to ever play senior division cricket in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association.

Described as a left arm spinner, Jackson came to the club last year, starting out in the fourths, and was the top scorer in their semi final last year.

He has continued progress through the ranks and has been a regular starter in the clubs two’s this season.

Another young debutant will be Aaron Robson, who is 16-years-old.

Aaron came to the club this season from Caroline Springs, and is a tall left handed batsman.

He featured in the Western Region Junior Cricket Association under 16 team a couple of weeks ago and has since shown some good form in recent second XI games.

Rob Newnham will also take to the pitch this weekend, having arrived at Yarraville Club five years ago, starting out in their fourths.

His selection is a reflection of his hard work, improvement and persistence.

The Clubbers will take on Doutta Stars at Hansen Reserve on February 5 at 1pm.
