P-Plater caught driving almost 60km above the speed limit in Laverton North

Transit West police have summoned a driver to court after he was caught speeding almost 60 kilometres above the speed limit in Laverton North.

On February 15 police observed a 19 year old male on probationary licence allegedly speeding at 117 kilometres in an 60 kilometre zone in Laverton North with three passengers onboard.

The drivers licence was suspended on the spot.

The vehicle was also impounded and the driver was summoned to court for excessive speeds and other relevant traffic offences.
