Yarraville Club has locked in coach Mitch Johnstone for another three seasons.
The club announced earlier this week that Johnstone would continue to lead the Victorian Turf Cricket Associations senior division club.
“The club is delighted to announce that senior coach Mitch Johnstone has put pen to paper and will coach the club for the next three seasons,” a social media post said.
“After two years at the helm, Mitch has had a huge impact around the club and has lead all four grades to finals cricket in his two years with the 3rd XI tasting the ultimate success this season.
“Mitch has done a tremendous job with the playing group and this season alone saw us use 20 players in the first XI including five debutants.
“The development of our younger players have benefited from Mitch’s coaching and have been rewarded with selection in higher grades whilst we’ve also had players move on to premier cricket including Connor Poulton who has had an immediate impact in 1st XI cricket with Essendon which is a testament to Mitch’s work.”
The Clubbers top side finished fourth, before losing a semi final to Aberfeldie.
