North Footscray beat neighbours

North Footscray has thrashed neighbours West Footscray by 72-points at Shorten Reserve in the Western Region Football League division two seniors competition.

North came into the game with a 1-1 record and were able to comfortably pick up its second win of the season playing away from home.

North kept West goalless in the first quarter while piling on five goals to get a 35 point lead at quarter-time.

West were able to shorten the margin to 28 points at three quarter time before North ran away from them kicking a whopping nine goals in the last quarter to take home a big victory.

Mathew Serafin was impressive with six goals for North as well as Charles Bettiol kicking four goals.

Jordan Jobling put on a great performance for West kicking six of their nine goals for the match.
