Altona Magic bounced back after two straight losses in the National Premier League. On Saturday, the Magic took on the Eastern Lions on the road. Mohammad Naeem Rahimi scored the only goal of the game and it would be enough for the Magic to take the points, 1-0. The Magic this week host the Dandenong Thunder on Saturday night.

Williamstown CYMS had a tough day at the office against University Blacks in the Victorian Amateur Football Association premier B on Saturday. The Blacks controlled the game right from the start and were able to build their lead throughout, winning 18.14 (122)-4.6 (30). Nicholas Ebinger kicked two goals for the CYs, while Akin-Ilker Dinler was named their best. The CYs sit in either spot.
Big V
Altona Gators had a huge win against the Blackburn Vikings in the Big V women’s division 2 competition. The Gators did all the damage in the first half, leading 51-19 at the break. Nothing separated the teams in the second half, as the Gators won 99-66. Alysha Carden-David top scored with 27 points off the bench. The win was the Gators 10th for the season. They sit top of the table. The side has the weekend off this week, due to the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

Williamstown fell just short against Port Melbourne in the Victorian Football League on Sunday. The Seagulls were within striking distance of Port Melbourne for most of the game, but were never able to get the run on to give it a real shot. Port Melbourne winning, 10.9 (69)-6.14 (50). Joel Ottavi kicked two goals for the Seagulls. Liam Hunt had 33 possessions, while Brayden Monk had 28. The Seagulls sit second bottom.
