Burning the midnight oil for reading challenge

Maribyrnong readers with a high ‘to be read’ pile are encouraged to take part in the Warm Winter Read challenge.

Launched on Wednesday, June 1, the challenge will run until Sunday, July 31.

Participants are able to track their progress in the Beanstack phone application, via the Beanstack website or on a Warm Winter Read postcard available at libraries.

Reading enthusiasts are encouraged to share their activity via the #WarmWinterRead hashtag across suggested weekly activities, including swapping screen time for reading time and reading aloud to a person, pet or plant.

Bookmarks with recommendations from Jane Harper, Jock Serong, Maxine Beneba Clarke, Toni Jordan, Rebecca Lim, Claire G Coleman, Helen Garner and Christos Tsiolkas are also available at participating libraries.
