An Altona Meadows man has received a windfall of more than $470,000 after his TattsLotto numbers were drawn on Saturday, September 19.
The man held one of the 12 division one winning entries and took home $479,354.
He said he did not even need to check his ticket when he saw his numbers in the Sunday newspaper.
“When I checked the results in the paper, I was shocked,” he said.
“I knew those were my numbers.
“I cannot wait to celebrate this win with my family.”
The winner said he intended to collect his prize from The Lott head office to “get the most of my winning feeling.”
He purchased the winning ticket at Central Lotto in the Central Square Shopping Centre in Altona Meadows.
Central Lotto owner Bruce Zheng said the team was delighted to have sold their 34th division one winning entry and the first for this year.
“We’ve sold a few division two winning entries this year, and we’ve been waiting for another one,” he said.
“We would like to send our best wishes and congratulations to our winner and their family.”
