Pedestrian struck and killed in Footscray

Victoria Police are calling for any information from witnesses after a 61 year-old Park Orchards man was struck and killed by a truck in Footscray on Wednesday, October 12.

Leading Senior Constable Kendra Jackson said police is preparing a report for the Coroner.

“Emergency services were called to the intersection of Moreland Street and Parker Street following reports of a deceased male about 10.15am,” she said.

“Anyone who witnessed the crash, or with dashcam is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.”

Police released the truck driver, a 58-year-old Bacchus Marsh man, pending further inquiries.
