Maribyrnong residents can now access parking permits, daily transactions and service requests via a new Maribyrnong council online portal.
MyMaribyrnong can be used to pay for animal registrations, apply for parking permits, check bin collection schedules, order kerbside bins, log service requests, access library services and check sessions at the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre.
Other details accessible through the portal include due dates for rates instalments, historical rates information and building and planning applications.
Residents who already have an account with council will receive an email from Maribyrnong council before the end of the year inviting them to activate their MyMaribyrnong account.
Residents without an existing account can create their own MyMaribyrnong account by visiting council’s website.
Maribyrnong mayor Sarah Carter said the new platform will allow residents to quickly access information and put requests to council.
“Council is committed to providing excellent customer service and in launching the MyMaribyrnong platform, we have taken a leap forward by streamlining and significantly enhancing the experience of residents accessing and managing their council-related services online,” she said.
“I hope residents across the municipality enjoy this new platform.”
Maribyrnong residents who only make a few transactions with council each year are still recommended to create an account, as creating a MyMaribyrnong account allows residents to view a history of all transactions and track the progress of current transactions.
