Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Maidstone on Wednesday, January 4.
Police have released CCTV footage showing two men entering a petrol station on Ballarat Road about 10.10pm.
Police said the pair approached the attendant and jumped over the service counter, with one holding what appears to be a handgun and the other threatening the attendant with a large kitchen knife.
The men then demanded cash and cigarettes before filling a bag with cigarettes and vapes and were last seen fleeing on foot south on Whittaker Street, police said.
Police said the man brandishing the firearm and a see-through satchel bag was Caucasian in appearance with a dark hood pulled tight over his head, wearing a high-visibility yellow shirt and appeared to be about 20 to 25 years old.
Police have described the man carrying the large kitchen knife and a backpack as being Caucasian in appearance with a motorcycle helmet covering his face, wearing a high-visibility orange jacket and about 20 to 25 years old.
