Save on energy with online workshops

Maribyrnong council has introduced a series of renewable energy workshops to help residents save on energy expenses.

As part of the Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action (WAGA), Maribyrnong is partnering with renewable technology experts Renew in 2023 to hold a free online workshop series.

The series will feature 10 sessions that are exclusively being run online, the sessions will be recorded and posted to the council website to access at any time.

The series of workshops will be held throughout the year covering topics on all-electric homes, solar and batteries, buying green power, electric vehicles and summer and winter energy efficiency.

The first workshop in February highlighted Buying GreenPower, the remaining 9 will be run sporadically during the year, beginning Tuesday May 2 and ending Saturday December 9.

Registrations for the workshops are essential, details: www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au/renew-Workshop-Series-2023

WAGA is a partnership of seven councils to the west of Melbourne, including Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay.

Their mission is to respond to climate change across the region and encourage residents and businesses in the community to transition to a low carbon society.

WAGA’s councils work collaboratively through the creation of plans and projects focussing on both mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to the impacts of climate change.

All recordings can be found here on the council website once available: https://www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au/Residents/Our-environment/Renew-Workshop-Series-2023?fbclid=IwAR2C_dNvXo-JqE_dkCNtL38jkp6YdnIkGTNXGTkh52WpOHlVPS-O4O5dTqw
