Widespread rainfall totals of 40 to 60 mm are expected in the flood watch area from this afternoon into Thursday, with isolated heavier falls of 60 to 80 mm possible with thunderstorms and about higher terrain.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to ease into Friday.

Isolated moderate flooding is also possible in areas with the heaviest rainfall.
