Yarraville store owners David and Nicole Nanfra are thrilled to celebrate the store’s 10th year of entertaining and being part of making Yarraville fun for its community.
The couple have three young children, the eldest as old as the
store itself, and they understand the importance of spending time with the family whether that be out and about or at home enjoying a great movie.
“Blockbuster might be an international brand but we’re local businesses at heart, and each store has its own unique offering, chosen specially for your local area,” David says.
“We are always keen to keep up with current trends. Blockbuster was among the first to offer Blu-Ray and now we offer 3D – and we’re also the first in Victoria to have an online portal where customers can view titles in store and make reservations.
“We are the only DVD shop within a 5-10km radius and while we’ve seen other shops close, we are thriving.”
Laura Jane, Kiri, Erin, Lis, Emily and Kosta are the friendly and hard working staff whose smiling faces greet customers every day. David says they contribute a lot to the store’s success. Blockbuster has long been an employer of young people in the local community.
