Newport-Digman is in a strong position at the Christmas break in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Steve McNamara Shield.
The Bulls sit in fourth spot at the break, having picked up their third win on Saturday against Keilor Park.
Secretary David Barlow said the group had been keen to get out there after the last two weeks had been washed out.
“We have gelled together nicely,” he said. “It was a massive performance and a good result heading into the Christmas break.
“It was a good solid win.”
The Bulls made 7-164 off their 40 overs with skipper James Muirhead top scoring with 36 at the top of the order.
Barlow said it was a solid batting performance.
They were then able to restrict the Devils to 9-120.
Shannon Evans and Shannon Clarke took three wickets each.
Barlow said their bowling group was bowling well as a unit.
“Shannon Clarke is one of our new players who has come from Altona and has performed well with the ball,” he said.
“Chris D’Agostin is one of our new players who has come on this season. James is doing a great job for us and our former-captain-coach Matthew Shiell is playing well too.
“Everyone is contributing.”
The Bulls have three wins for the season, sitting in fourth spot.
Barlow said overall, it had been a strong season for the club so far.
“Overall the club is pretty satisfied,” he said. “We lost a couple of games we probably should not have lost.
“There were a couple of games washed out that we were in good positions for the senior sides, but the club is happy where it is.
“Hopefully we’ll continue on after Christmas.”
The competition returns on January 6 with a one-dayer.
In other matches, West Newport lost to the Greenvale Kangaroos.
The Kangaroos made 152 after being bowled out with one ball remaining. West Newport was bowled out for 132 with an over to space.
Altona Roosters were unable to end Grand United’s unbeaten run.
The Gorillas made 5-186 before the Roosters were bowled out for 144 in reply.
Williamstown CYMS’s result with Royal Park Brunswick wasn’t able at time of going to press.
