Lacrosse Victoria: Williamstown Fearons still undefeated

Williamstown has completed the Lacrosse Victoria men’s state league season with an unblemished record.

The Fearons made it a perfect 16 from 16 with a 12-11 win over Camberwell at Fearon Reserve on Saturday.

They have set up a showdown with Footscray at Altona’s PJ Lynch Reserve on Saturday in the major semi-final for the right to a direct path to the grand final.

The Scray, last year’s premiers, held on to second spot despite having a bye in the final round.

Footscray took out the minor premiership in the women’s state league, clinching it with a 13-6 win over second-placed Newport at Angliss Reserve on Sunday.

The two sides will meet again in week one of the finals.
