Magic sign exciting quartet

Altona Magic has announced four marquee signings ahead of the 2024 National Premier League season.

Alexander Gust, Saad Moukacha, Bul Juach and Jawad Rezai have all joined the club as it looks to go one step further than it did in 2023. Last season Magic made the NPL finals for the first time in its history, however was knocked out by the Oakleigh Cannons in an elimination finals.

As a box-to-box midfielder, Gust is known for his versatility and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively. His strong work rate and stamina allow him to cover large areas of the pitch, making him an asset in both attack and defence.

“Having previously played for Melbourne Victory, the left footed midfielder with his experience will undoubtedly benefit Altona Magic as we strive for success in our upcoming campaigns,” the club said via social media.

Saad is a talented 20-year-old midfielder who brings with him a wealth of experience gained during his time in Croatia with NK Rudes. His performances as a midfielder were marked by his technical abilities, vision, and creativity, making him a valuable asset to NK Rudes.

“Moukachar is ready to embark on a new chapter in his career in Australian football. An exciting addition to the team, welcome to Paisley Park Saad,” the club said.

Juach is a talented striker hailing from Sydney and has made a name for himself in the New South Wales soccer world after representing the McCarthur Bulls in the NPLNSW.

His performances caught the attention of scouts, leading him to join Wollongong Wolves. During his time with the Wolves, Juach continued to impress with his goal-scoring ability and overall contribution to the team. He then took his career overseas and ventured into the Bulgarian second division football scene.

Rezai arrives via Hume City who is a promising 22-year-old footballer known for his versatility as a winger-striker, with a notable ability to score goals.

His recent experience includes representing the Afghanistan international team, showcasing his talent on an international stage who had started his career with Perth Glory.
