Altona Lightning Netball Club is seeking players for its teams. The club plays in the Parkville Netball Competitions at the State Netball Hockey Centre and has 11 teams throughout open, 17 and under, and 15 and under grades. If you’re interested, call coaching co-ordinator Tracy Wallace.

A chance for young mums and dads

Are you a parent between 16 and 25 and want to meet other young parents in your area? Free groups meet in Laverton from 10-11.30am on Mondays, in Altona Meadows from 1-2.30pm on Mondays and in Sunshine from 12.30-2.30pm on Fridays. The groups organise fun activities for the kids and go on outings. Contact Mary for details.

Print your own T-shirts

Are you 14-20, living in the west and wanting to learn T-shirt design and screen-printing? Free sessions will be held at Woods Street Arts Space, 44 Woods Street, Laverton, from 2-5pm every second Saturday until November 29. Free food and drinks provided.

Train your dog and yourself

Get some exercise and have fun with your dog. The Agility Dog Club of Victoria trains on Friday nights under lights at WLJ Crofts Reserve, Blackshaws Road, Altona North. All breeds of dog and age groups are welcome. New members’ classes will begin in the new year. Numbers are limited.
