The state government announced that applications are open for a program that links schools with artists, creative collectives, and companies in a residency project linked to the curriculum.
The state is inviting public, independent, and catholic schools to apply for the 2025 Creative Learning Partnerships program, which offers grants of up to $10,000 for a residency project with an individual artist or up to $35,000 with a creative collective or company.
The residency projects will take place between terms 2 and 4 in 2025.
Projects that received funding under the 2024 round of Creative Learning Partnerships are currently underway, with 20 Victorian schools collaborating with creative workers from a range of disciplines including theatre, circus, visual arts, filmmaking, Indigenous art, writing and 3D printing.
Education Minister Ben Carroll said that the partnerships aim to deliver useful creative skills.
“Creative skills will be essential in the jobs of the future,” Mr Brooks said.
Applications for the 2025 round of the Creative Learning Partnerships program close Thursday, September 12.
