Garden launch

Yarraville’s new community garden, near Clare Court, will be unveiled at 2pm this Sunday. Organisers will draw a ballot to allocate available plots among ‘friends’ of the garden. There’ll also be some family-friendly games.

Botanic art classes

Outlets Community Centre is offering botanic art classes on Wednesday evenings. Learn to paint botanic subjects with watercolour. No experience needed.

Focus groups

Do you have, or have you had, depression? Or are you taking care of or are you concerned for someone who may have early stage dementia? Focus groups will be held on September 23 and September 30. The strictly confidential meetings will last 90 minutes. Participants will receive $30, a gift and refreshments.

Farmers market

The second Altona Primary School Farmers Market will be held on September 20. Activities will include a talent show for children, jumping castle, clown, face-painting, story time and more. From 9am-1pm at 109 Blyth Street, Altona.
