Several Western Jets were named in the Coates Talent League teams of the year which were announced on Wednesday night. Alex McBride-Loane was named on the half back line of the girls team of the year, while Thomas McGuane and Thomas Burton were named in the boys team. Gippsland Power midfielder Brodie Atkins and Oakleigh Chargers ball magnet Chloe Bown were crowned the best and fairest winners.

Williamstown CYMS have locked in its men’s coach for next year’s Victorian Amatuer Football Association premier B season, while it will have a new women’s coach next season. The club has announced that Con

Terzoglou has been reappointed the club’s men’s coach. “Across the past four years, Con has been much more than a senior coach. His influence has extended well beyond match days – shaping a strong football program, mentoring young players, and building connections that strengthen our entire club,” the CYs said. The club also announced that Xavier Smith had decided to step away from coaching the senior women’s team.

Seddon is welcoming back a familiar face for the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Isaacs Howarth Shield season. Englishman Joe Walker has signed for the club. “After playing for the Dockers in 2022-23, Joe returns after another successful UK summer at his home club – Three Bridges – where he made over 800 runs and fell one short of 40 dismissals with the gloves,” the Dockers said on social media.

The Altona Gators have announced the signing of Andrew Berni as coach for next year’s Big V men’s division 1 season. Berni returns to Altona bringing with him a wealth of experience from Big V level assignments, including He assisting the Gators youth league men, the Keilor Thunder and Hawthorn state championship men before leading the RMIT Redbacks as a Head Coach in the youth league 2 men’s competition in 2025.
